Parrot Tiki Bar - CEDAR

What a great piece. Cedar is so great to work with. Not only is it great for exterior signs, it just has so much character. Live edge refers to the wood having the natural contour of the tree and many pieces still have some of the bark.

This piece is large and it is heavy. The cedar will measures approximately 48'x11'.

As is the case with all of our cedar, the paint for this piece is all exterior. We use Behr Paint and Primer in One, the same product used to paint the outside of a house. To get the paint to really show on this wood, it takes many coats. The hard wood gets really dark when we seal the cedar. To make sure the parrot and the lettering shows, it takes layer after layer of paint. But when it's finished, wow it looks great.

The lettering is done in a bright pool blue. I highlight the lettering, I trim each letter in black and then white.
